Terms & Conditions

Booking Your Event with Tasty Hog Ltd

​

To book your event you can contact us by phone, email, postal mail or using the contact form on our site, you can also complete the booking form linked above.

​

We ask that you confirm date availability with us before you send us a booking  form or deposit.

​

Once we receive a request for a quote we will will price up the cost for the services and number of guests requested and email you with the quote, along with an invoice.

​

All event bookings must be confirmed in writing (by email or postal mail) by the Client.

​

if you haven't yet decided on menu, final guest numbers, event location etc etc you can still secure a date by making a non-refundable deposit of £150, you can then arrange full menu options etc at a later date, no later than 1 month before the event date.

Deposit

​

​

Tasty Hog Ltd will require a non refundable deposit to secure your booking, usually 25% of the total event cost or £150 whichever is greater. 

​

This deposit will be deducted from the total event costs, we will send an invoice for the remainder, which will be issued to the Client upon payment of the deposit and must be paid in full no later than 14 days prior to the event (please see our Payment / cancellation terms below)

​

Payment methods available include bank transfer, debit / credit card, cheque and cash.

​

Booking Confirmation

​

​

Once the Clients deposit has been received a receipt will be issued by Tasty Hog followed by a formal confirmation Email / letter which will include your draft menu, event summary and costs based on the number of guests and selections made by the Client at this time, this will be the final cost due notwithstanding any changes to guest numbers and menu changes by the client.

Variations to the Price

​

​

All bookings are subject to minimum guest numbers which will be confirmed by Tasty Hog at the time of booking. 

​

Any additional costs due to guest number or menu changes by the client will result in an amended invoice being sent prior to your event, this must be paid at least 14 days prior to your event

​

​

 

Payment of Total Event Costs Prior to Event

​

​

Payment in full is required no later than 14 days prior to the event for all services provided by Tasty Hog Ltd

​

Final guest numbers must be confirmed to Tasty Hog no later than 30 days prior to the event.

​

Should Tasty Hog be advised of any changes to event requirements (including the reduction of guest numbers) at a date less than 30 days prior to the event, Tasty Hog Ltd reserve the right not to accept these changes, although we will endeavour to meet these requested changes, if we are unable to meet these changes to the event due to supplies already being ordered or 3rd party services being booked the event as invoiced for will stand.

should increases occur due to additional guest or menu changes once full payment has been received Tasty Hog Ltd will raise an additional invoice for these guests or menu changes, payment will then be due for immediate settlement by the Client, no changes to menus and guest numbers will be final until payment is made.

Payment by instalments

​

​

We do allow you to pay in instalments, please note this is not a credit facility, we still require the full cost of the booking to be received at least 14 days prior to your booked date.

 

we can accept instalment payments by bank transfer, direct debit or credit / debit card, there is a £10 admin fee for each instalment payment.

Cancellation Charges

​

In the unfortunate event of a booking having to be cancelled by a client, confirmation in writing will be needed by the Client, that can be lodged via email or postal mail.

​

Your deposit will be retained and the following charges will be incurred

​

  1. Cancellation received more than 15 days before event – No additional charge

  2. Cancellation received less than 14 days before event – 50% of the total event cost

  3. Cancellation received less than 7  days before event – 100% of the total event cost

​

​

The total event cost will be based on the numbers of guests as quoted on your invoice, at the agreed price per head plus any additional extras and fees, including any fees that may have been due by making instalment payments or menu / guest number changes

​

The deposit or other payments or instalments already paid by the client will be offset against any cancellation charge.

​

We reserve the right to charge for any additional costs incurred by us in the preparation of the event up until the time of cancellation. This is to cover any losses caused to Tasty Hog Ltd for cost relating to but not limited to administration costs, travel and supplies.

​

Any costs in excess of the total event cost will be advised at the time of cancellation.

​

Rescheduling of Events

​

​

You can reschedule the date of your event, however a fee equal to our cancellation charges may apply depending on how late you wish to reschedule the event, please see the cancellation charges above.

​

in the event of rescheduling your deposit will be retained

​

in addition a new non-refundable deposit of £100 will be required to secure a new date

​

These reschedule fees are in addition to needing to pay the full cost of your event, should you reschedule less than 14 days prior to your new event date then payment in full of the reschedule fee plus your event fee will be required immediately, before the new date can be secured.

Dietary Requirements and Allergies

​

​

Tasty Hog will endeavour to provide suitable adaptations to the Clients menu for any guests with special dietary requirements or allergies. We cannot however take responsibility for any guests that we are not informed of. Special dietary requirements must be advised in advance (no less than 14 days prior to the event)

​

​

Client / 3rd party Food and Drinks

​

​

We accept no liability for any food supplied to the Client by another caterer (or food products supplied by the Client themselves) in addition to those arranged by or supplied directly by Tasty Hog.

 

Where the Client has made additional arrangements with another catering provider Tasty Hog will require a Food Disclaimer Form to be completed and returned no later than 7 days prior to the event.

​

Tasty Hog will happily serve a Clients arrival drinks, table wines etc during their event subject to server fees or corkage, please ask for further details.

​

​

 

Client’s use of Tasty Hog Property and Clients Personal Property or Gifts

​

​

The Client agrees to pay for any loss or damage to any equipment, crockery, cutlery or glassware supplied by Tasty Hog for the event, including any issues caused by the Clients guests.

​

The use of candles by the Client for centerpieces or decoration where Tasty Hog have supplied table linen is strictly prohibited.

​

Any damaged linen as a result of the use of felt tip pens will result in an additional charge payable by the Client after the event (a separate area for colouring can be arranged with suitable table coverings, please ask for details)

​

Tasty Hog will not be held responsible for the theft, loss or damage to any personal effects of the Client or gifts brought onto premises by the Client guests.

​

Liability of Tasty Hog Ltd

​

Tasty Hog accept no liability under any claim whatsoever arising (be it by negligence or otherwise) for any loss over the figure of the existing Tasty Hog Public Liability Limit of Indemnity (usually £5,000,000). Note that this figure which may change from time to time is available upon request together with a copy of our insurance Certificates.

Force Majeure

​

Tasty Hog shall incur no liability to the Client if performance of the contract is prevented or hindered by any cause whatsoever beyond Tasty Hog control and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, by act of weather, fire, flood, subsidence, sabotage, accident, strike, or lock out and shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting there from suffered by the Client.

​

Tasty Hog reserve the right to change our Terms and Conditions when necessary due to the continually evolving nature of our business.
